The client led a very demanding professional life, and wanted a respite; a place the evoked a sense of quiet and calm, in spite of the urban challenges and opportunities just outside the door. To that end, we used a soft palette, monochromatic layering of elements, and texture as opposed to pattern to limit visual noise. The loft is 1000 sq.ft., but works like a space three times its size.
