Skyline/Westlake Hills
Perched on a cliff in Westlake Hills and boasting a spectacular view of the lake below and the city beyond, the 70's structure was badly in need of a makeover. The clients, one of them a landscape architect, had recently relocated from New Mexico and were ready to shed their southwestern sensibilities for a more modern mix. Dated elements were stripped away and walls were rearranged to accomodate a workspace for the architect, display spaces for their large collection of ceramics and modern art, and to enhance the views from the master bath and kitchen. An entirely new lighting plan was implemented throughout.
